Campaign Description

The devastating floods of 2026 have once again brought unimaginable suffering across Assam. Days of relentless rainfall and overflowing rivers have submerged entire villages, washed away homes, destroyed crops, and left thousands of families stranded without food, clean water, shelter, or medical care.

What was once a place of hope has become a struggle for survival. Parents are desperately trying to protect their children from hunger. Elderly people are trapped in flooded homes. Families have lost everything they worked for over decades in just a few hours.

According to the latest situation:

  • 💔 15+ lakh people affected
  • 🏘️ 3,000+ villages inundated
  • 🌍 30+ districts impacted
  • ⚠️ Thousands of homes, schools, roads, and farmlands destroyed
  • 🚨 Immediate need for food, clean drinking water, medicines, clothing, shelter, and rescue support

For countless families, this is not just a natural disaster—it is a humanitarian crisis.

Assam Flood Relief Campaign 2026

The Assam Flood Relief Campaign 2026 was created in response to one of the most devastating flood disasters to affect the state in recent years. Continuous heavy rainfall, overflowing rivers, breached embankments, and widespread inundation have left thousands of families struggling to survive without basic necessities.

Entire villages have disappeared under floodwaters. Homes built over generations have been destroyed, crops have been washed away, livestock have been lost, and critical infrastructure—including roads, bridges, schools, and healthcare facilities—has suffered extensive damage. Many communities remain isolated, making access to food, clean drinking water, medicines, and emergency assistance extremely difficult.

According to available reports and field observations:

  • More than 15 lakh people have been affected.
  • Over 30 districts have experienced severe flooding.
  • More than 3,000 villages have been inundated.
  • Thousands of families have been displaced and are living in temporary shelters or on embankments.
  • Children, pregnant women, elderly people, and persons with disabilities are among the most vulnerable.

Recognizing the urgent humanitarian need, Green Ahom Federation launched this campaign to mobilize individuals, businesses, philanthropists, and communities to provide immediate relief and support to affected families.

This campaign was established with the following objectives:

  • Provide emergency food and clean drinking water to flood-affected families.
  • Support rescue and evacuation efforts in inaccessible areas.
  • Distribute dry ration kits, clothing, blankets, hygiene kits, and other essential relief materials.
  • Provide basic medical assistance and emergency healthcare support.
  • Assist families living in temporary relief camps with essential daily needs.
  • Support long-term recovery by helping vulnerable communities rebuild their homes and livelihoods.

Floods do not only destroy property—they disrupt education, healthcare, employment, agriculture, and the dignity of families who have lost everything. Many survivors face months of hardship even after floodwaters recede.

Every donation received through this campaign is intended to strengthen our emergency response and ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most as quickly and transparently as possible.

The Assam Flood Relief Campaign 2026 is more than a fundraising initiative; it is a call for compassion, solidarity, and collective action. By standing together, we can help families recover from this disaster, restore hope to affected communities, and support Assam on its journey toward recovery and resilience.

Together, we can transform compassion into action and help rebuild lives—one family, one village, and one community at a time.
