Campaign Description
Across the Barak Valley region of Assam, thousands of animals—cows, dogs, goats, and other vulnerable beings—suffer silently due to neglect, cruelty, accidents, and lack of medical care. Despite India’s long tradition of compassion and ahimsa (non-violence), modern challenges such as illegal transport, abandonment, and abuse continue to threaten animal lives.
The Ground Reality:
🐕 Stray dogs suffer from injuries, infections, and starvation 🐄 Cows are often abandoned after they stop producing milk 🐐 Goats face illegal transport and slaughter conditions 🐾 Wildlife and domestic animals frequently get trapped, injured, or abused 🚑 Lack of emergency veterinary care in rural Barak ValleyIndia already has strong movements like People for Animals working nationwide, but regional gaps still leave thousands of animals without help.

This campaign by Green Ahom Federation focuses on rescuing, treating, feeding, and protecting animals—especially cows, dogs, goats, and other vulnerable animals—across the Barak Valley region of Assam. The goal is to reduce cruelty, provide medical care, and build a safer environment for animals.
